AKIPRESS.COM - Some 5,018 people were vaccinated against coronavirus infection in Tashkent, Nukus, regional centers on the first day of vaccination, the Ministry of Health reported.
Mass vaccination against coronavirus infection has started on April 1 in Uzbekistan.
Citizens above 65 years, medical workers will be vaccinated in the first phase.
1,871 people above 65 years and 3,147 medical workers received first dose of coronavirus vaccine as of April 1.
1,651 people were vaccinated in Tashkent. This is the highest vaccination rate in the country.
467 people were vaccinated in Ferghana region, 389 in Kashkadarya region, 317 in Tashkent region.
Uzbekistan uses two vaccines Sino-Uzbek vaccine ZF-UZ-VAC2001 and AstraZeneca vaccine.
