AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Ombudsman Gulnara Jamgyrchieva and her team visited the rehabilitation center where children repatriated from Iraq to Kyrgyzstan stay.
79 children arrived in Bishkek on March 16, including 38 boys and 41 girls aged between 2 and 18 years. 90% of children (63) suffer from anemia, the Ombudsman's press service reported.
Psychologists and other health professionals work now on return of children to safe and peaceful life.
The rehabilitation center has all proper condition for meals, rest, outdoor activities of the children.
Various international and humanitarian organizations, such as UNICEF and Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan, NGOs provide assistance in improvement of living conditions for repatriated children.
The Ministry of Health and Social Development together with line agencies is working on transfer of children to their relatives.
