AKIPRESS.COM - First Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Shakhlo Turdikulova named side effects of Chinese-Uzbek recombinant coronavirus vaccine ZF-UZ-VAC 2001.
"Analysis and studies found that the vaccine is absolutely safe and vaccinated persons develop antibodies," the Deputy Minister told a press briefing, Kun.uz reported.
The vaccine has several minor side effects, she said.
"The site of injection may become red, some minor allergic reactions possible, but no need to fear about this. Temperature may grow to 37 degrees. Everything will be normal in 2-3 days," Turdikulova said.
None of 7,000 volunteers, who participated in clinical trials, had any side effects, she added.
"Vaccination is the only way to defeat coronavirus infection. I urge people to take an active part in this process," the official said.
Uzbekistan started mass vaccination against coronavirus infection on April 1, when 5,018 people were vaccinated.
