AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev received Chairman of the World Ethnosport Confederation Bilal Erdogan on April 7, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the ways of development of the World Nomad Games in the near future and the events planned on the sidelines. Erdogan informed about the measures taken by the Confederation and Turkey to prepare for the IV World Nomad Games in 2022 in Iznik.
"The Kyrgyz side noted the need for the organizing committee of the fourth World Nomad Games to take into account the comments and suggestions of Kyrgyzstan as a country that successfully held the first, second and third World Nomad Games on its territory," the statement said.
Kazakbaev also stressed the relevance of the practice of changing host nations of the games with its return to origin - Kyrgyzstan - every four to five years. In this regard, the foreign minister advocated holding the fifth Games in Kyrgyzstan in 2024.
Erdogan announced the Confederation's readiness to allocate annual scholarships for training Kyrgyz citizens in master's and doctoral programs in the field of development of sports and physical culture. He also expressed readiness to hold an annual festival of nomads in the city of Cholpon-Ata under the auspices of the Confederation.
Parties agreed on the establishing a Turkic Investment Fund in Kyrgyzstan.
