74% of voting results obtained for 17 minutes after end of voting - CEC

AKIPRESS.COM - 74% of voting data was obtained within 17 minutes after end of voting, Central Election Commission Chair Nurjan Shaildabekova said.
The Central Election Commission will tabulate the results on the basis of the manual count of votes, she said.
After the results are tabulated, local election commissions will determine the voting results in in particular regions. The Central Election Commission will then tabulate the voting results on the whole.
"The period for tabulation of results is no more than 35 days. But usually this takes less time - 10-15 days due to used technologies. We will able to consider all complaints and determine the voting results in the referendum," Nurjan Shaildabekova said.
The voter turnout threshold is 30% for the referendum. "According to preliminary results, 35.9% of votes have voted. The final results will be determined based on manual count of votes. The issue is considered as past if more than 50% of voted citizens vote for it," the CEC Chair said.
