Bishkek baatyr monument solemnly opens

AKIPRESS.COM - The Bishkek baatyr monument opening took place in Bishkek on April 14 with President Sadyr Japarov in attendance, his press service said.

Bishkek Kenen uulu (Bishkek baatyr) is a historical figure who lived in the 18th century. He led the national liberation movement against the enemy tribes of the Kyrgyz people.
Monument to Bishkek baatyr is made of bronze, the height is more than 3 meters. The author of the monument is architect Adil Seitaliev.
The monument is located on the eastern side of the building of the Ministry of Culture at the intersection of Chui and Erkindik st in Bishkek.
8 million soms were spent on installation of monument collected by public association Bishkek Baatyr.
