Kyrgyzstan to have catch-up polio vaccination

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan will hold catch-up polio vacination from April 19 to May 19.
Children born between 1 April 15 and 15 February 2018 will receive 0.5 ml dose of the vaccine free of charge, the Ministry of Health said.
The aim of the campaign is to vaccinate 95% of children who missed polio vaccination for some reasons.
Kyrgyzstan received 177,736 doses of polio vaccine
In March 2020, Kyrgyzstan received confirmation from Global Polio Eradication Initiative about availability of required doses of polio vaccine.
The country received 177,736 doses already. The remaining doses of the polio vaccine will arrive in the nearest time.
More than 270,039 will be vaccinated.
