Bishkek local election commission withdraws NDPK party from local council elections for vote buying

AKIPRESS.COM - People's Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan NDPK was withdrawn from Bishkek local council elections, the Central Election Commission said on April 19.
Such decision was made by the Bishkek local election commission yesterday.
"The decision was made after provision of proof of violation of election legislation by the State National Security Committee, police station of Pervomaiskiy district of Bishkek. These violations incuded campaigning on day of vote, vote buying, violation of order of financing of campaign and other," the Bishkek local election commission said.
The party may complain to the Central Election Commission within 3 days.
NPDK obtained 10.67% or 14,288 votes in the past Bishkek local council elections and this way obtained 8 seats in the local council.
