Uzbek Energy Ministry and Siemens Energy AG sign MoU

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and Siemens Energy AG President and CEO Christian Bruchhave signed a memorandum of understanding and a roadmap for the implementation of joint projects, UzA reported. The parties are interested in implementation of joint projects, existing opportunities for enhancing strategic partnership in Uzbekistan.
Cooperation is planned in launch of new production facilities, in the spheres of energy audit of production facilities and hydrogen energy, introduction of energy-saving technologies, personnel training.
The roadmap includes projects for introduction of cogeneration technologies in heating boilers in the regions of the country as public-private partnerships, as well as construction of a new thermal power plant with a capacity of 1300-1600 MW, participation in modernization of Khojaabad compressor station and creation of innovative training centers.
