1 ton of quartzite illegally mined and sold in Jalal-Abad region: MP

AKIPRESS.COM - More than 1 ton of quartzite was illegally mined and sold in the Jalal-Abad region, said MP Osmon Turdumambetov at the Parliament session on April 21. The case had been investigated by financial police since November 2020.
"As it turned out during the investigation, officials of the district prosecutor's office and those higher in their positions were involved in the case. The name of the citizen who was involved in all this is known. More than 1 million soms did not go to the local budget," he said.
The MP asked the Prosecutor General's Office to take the case under its control.
