MP suggests to assign Batken region a status of special economic zone to stop migration, increase economy

AKIPRESS.COM - "It is necessary to give Batken region the status of a special economic zone," said MP Zakir Sharapov on April 22.
This status would attract investments to the region and launch production. With the help of tax incentives, it is possible to attract entrepreneurs to Batken region. It is necessary to give long-term preferential loans to farmers in the region, he said.
According to him, giving the region the status of a special economic zone will help solve the socio-economic problems.
This move would also stop the migration from region. The special economic status would help make young people to stay.
The MP believes that the existing Leilek SEZ is not enough for the economic development of the region. "It is just one zone in one district of Batken region. It is necessary to work out a development program and give a special economic status to the whole region," he added.
