European Immunization Week 2021 starts in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The European Immunization Week has started in Kyrgyzstan from April 25 to May 2.
The Week is conducted by the Ministry of Health and Social Development and UNICEF.
The Vaccination Week is conducted in Kyrgyzstan for 16 years, Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
No cases of diphtheria, tetanus, polyomeoitis and tuberculous meningitis in newborns and viral hepatitis B in children under 5 years of agewere registered in the country due to it, the Health Minister added.
None of chidren should remain unvaccinated and unprotected. Vaccine is able to save 3 lives a minute. UNICEF supplies more than 2 billion doses of vaccines every year to cover around 45% children under 5 years of age, UNICEF Representative Christine Jaulmes said.
