AKIPRESS.COM - Mobile clinic of 5 trucks will arrive in Kyrgyzstan in early May, Health Ministry's international cooperation sector chief Osmon Masaliev told AKIpress.
He said the grant agreement on purchase of 5 mobile clinics was signed in 2014 during visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Mecca.
"The given agreement underwent all procedures. The Islamic Development Bank then selected a company that would implement this program. Normeca company has won the tender eventually," he said.
"Many ask why the agreement was signed in 2014 and is being realized only in 2021. The procedure of approval of Normeca by the Islamic Development Bank lasted almost 4 years and there is no blame of the Kyrgyz side in that. The mobile clinics are on their way to Kyrgyzstan and will arrive in early May," Osmon Masaliev stated.
The mobile clinic of 5 trucks will be stationed in Naryn region, he said.
Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev visited the location on April 28.
The mobile clinic has diagnostic unit with modern medical equipment, such as computer tomograph, ultrasound machines, mammograph, X-ray machine, gastroscope, colonoscope, ophthalmoscope, rhinoscope, echocardiograph, laboratory equipment for biochemical and other tests, as well as an operating room for operations.
A minibus for transportation of patients and ambulance will be handed over together with trucks.
Expenditures related to operation of the mobile clinic, salaries, accommodation, meals of medical workers, medicines and consumables will be financed by the Islamic Development Bank for 5 years.
