General Consulate of Kazakhstan opens in Samarkand

AKIPRESS.COM - The official opening ceremony of the General Consulate of Kazakhstan in Samarkand was held April 29, Dunyo news agency reported.
The event was attended by Samarkand mayor Erkinjon Turdimov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Darkhan Satybaldy, other officials.
The Consulate will work on development of investment, commercial, economic, cultural, humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The jurisdiction of the General Consulate will cover Samarkand, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya regions and Karakalpakstan.
The General Consulate of Turkey was opened in Samarkand in March 2021.
President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev signed the order on opening of the General Consulate of Kazakhstan in Samarkand in September 2019.
