Mirziyoyev and Japarov discuss Kyrgyz-Tajik border crisis regulation

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, the Uzbek president's press service reported.
The two leaders discussed the current situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border and the ways of its soonest regulation.
The agreement reached between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on normalization of the situation and prevention of its further escalation was noted with satisfaction.
All disputes should be resolved through a dialogue in the spirit of relations of centuries-old friendship, good neighborhood, trust and partnership, the leaders said.
Practical implementation of the joint decisions and agreements reached at the summit in Tashment in March 2021 was considered among other issues.
Importance of continued intensive exchanges and expansion of cooperation for the purpose of fulfillment of undertaken obligations and advancement of priority projects was emphasized.
