AKIPRESS.COM - The road in Tort-Kocho area in Batken district is unblocked, the press service of Batken region administration reported in the evening of April 30.
Tajikistan withdrew troops and military vehicles deployed earlier near Kyzyl-Bel border crossing point to their duty stations.
Shooting occurred twice in Kyzyl-Bel village near the given checkpoint on April 30. A customs officer was wounded during the first shooting.
Withdrawal of Tajik troops led to unblocking of Osh-Batken-Isfana road.
The situation is stabilizing, the region administration said.
Escalation of tensions on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on April 28-29 left 31 Kyrgyzstanis dead and 154 wounded.
