AKIPRESS.COM - Above 100 gathered at Ala-Too square in Bishkek earlier today demanding resolution of Kyrgyz-Tajik border crisis.
At around 3.00 p.m. the protesters moved to the Government House and some of them tried to open the doors of the main entrance of the building. They were stopped by other protesters.
At 3.30 p.m. the Vice Chief of Staff of the Government met with protesters. He told the latest information on the border situation and reminded the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan had held talks.
By 3.50 p.m. the number of protesters in front of the Government House exceeded 500.
They demand to let them travel to Batken region in connection with tensions on the border with Tajikistan.
Chief of Staff of the Government Jenishbek Asankulov met with protesters and said 4 buses will arrive now and those willing may go to the military recruiting station.
