AKIPRESS.COM - The Tajik side blocked Osh-Batken-Isfana road in Tort-Kocho area and demanded to reopen the road to Vorukh enclave, Batken region administration's representative Musurmanbek Tursumatov told Turmush.
The given road runs through Tort-Kocho road and links Batken district with Leilek district. This roads also links Vorukh enclave with Tajikistan.
The road was blocked since around 10.00 a.m. of May 1 despite the agreement reached on reopening of the road on April 30.
Batken region vice governor Marufhan Tulaev, Batken region police department chief Murat Boronov are on the border between Aksai rural municipality and Vorukh enclave. They are holding talks with Sughd region vice governor.
Batken-Leilek road remains closed.
Despite reached agreement on ceasefire and withdrawal of troops and military machinery, tensions on the border escalated on May 1.
