Kyrgyz-Tajik border crossing points remain closed after border conflict

AKIPRESS.COM - Border crossing points on Kyrgyz-Tajik border are closed temporarily.
Reopening of border crossing points will be considered upon complete stabilization of the situation, Nazaraly uulu Talantbek, Vice Chief of Main Border Protection Department of the Border Service, said.
"This is the first conflict of such scale since 2013. Minor conflicts occurred in Ak-Sai and Kulundu villages before. Now the conflict occurred between Leilek and Batken districts," he said.
