AKIPRESS.COM - The Help Batken national taskforce to provide humanitarian aid to people affected by the recent Kyrgyz-Tajik conflict in Batken has sent about 25 tons of food and clothing to Batken region as of May 3, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Aliza Soltonbekova said. Flour, vegetable oil, sugar, buckwheat, rice, peas, pasta, noodles, sweets, dried fruits, fruits, vegetables, medicines, personal care products, clothes, bedding, toys and dishes were sent to Batken.
A total of 120 tons of humanitarian aid was collected and sent to Batken in 4 days, she noted.
Humanitarian aid was delivered from all over the country. A commission is distributing aid in Batken.
