AKIPRESS.COM - Field work on Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway construction project will begin upon stabilization of epidemiological situation, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reported on May 3. The working group for construction of this railway held a virtual meeting recently.
Minister of Transport of Kyrgyzstan Gulmira Abdralieva, the National Development and Reform Commission's Capital and Foreign Investment Department Deputy Director, Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Abdusamat Muminov partook in the videoconference.
The model of financing of the project presented by China, routes and field works, trilateral work plan for 2021 were discussed during the virtual meeting.
The sides stressed importance of achievement of consensus on financing of this project and route of railway.
The route will be coordinated and field work will be conducted upon stabilization of COVID-19 situation, the sides agreed.
