40,649 in total internally displaced in Batken region

AKIPRESS.COM - A total of 40,649 people were evacuated in Batken region, said the Ministry of Emergency Situations. 14,361 people were evacuated from the villages of Min-Bulak, Uch-Tobo, Tash-Tumshuk, Kok-Tash, Ak-Sai, Kok-Terek, Orto-Boz and Samarkandek in Batken district. They were relocated to towns of Batken and Sulukta and the villages of Bujum, Chek, Jany-jer, Ak-Turpak, Kara-Bulak, Chon-Kara, Ravat, Margun and Kulundu.
26,288 people were evacuated from villages Borborduk, International, Arka, Saada, Maksat and Dostuk of Leilek district to towns Sulukta and Isfana, as well as villages Kara-Bulak, Korgon, Samat, Bulak-Bashi, Margun and Kulundu.
The Emergency Ministry dispatched 16 units of equipment and 214 employees, the road transport services mobilized 60 sprinters and 60 employees, and 13 ambulances with 35 health workers were involved in evacuation.
