AKIPRESS.COM - Construction of houses began in Ak-Sai village of Batken region badly damaged during the Kyrgyz-Tajik armed conflict, Turmush reports.
Officer Aidarbek Alimbekov said private special equipment and vehicles of the pasture committee's motor transport service are involved, and fuel and lubricants have been provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, he said.
Mahabat Tokchieva, a local resident, lost a home after the conflict.
"We were at home when the soldiers came. They said we had to leave. Then we learned that our house had been burned down. They promise to build a house. I want them to build a house farther from our burned house, because it was right on the border with Tajikistan. I have five children. I had a dowry for my daughter, it all burned down. My son was about to get married in the fall, I prepared the necessary stuff that also burned," said the woman.
At the moment, the tents of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been set up in the Bakai area of the Ak-Sai, where citizens whose houses were burnt down live.
