AKIPRESS.COM - Electronic health records will be introduced across Kyrgyzstan until the end of this year, Health Insurance Fund First Vice Chair Klara Oskombaeva told a press conference on May 12.
Electronic health records are already introduced in some health care providers, she said.
"However, the process was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. Good information systems are need to avoid manual collection of information. All records should be registered in one system. Each visitor of the Family Medicine Center should be entered into the system to get clear information on medical history of each patient," Klara Oskombaeva said.
Introduction of e-health records requires resources, time, she said and complained about problem with Internet access.
"The task is to complete this process this year. We work on it for a long time. Each family group practitioners need to be equipped with computers and Internet connection. There are more than 789 family group practitioners across the country," she said.
