AKIPRESS.COM - Russia started production of Sputnik Light vaccine that can be used for vaccination of school students. Kyrgyzstan has not received such vaccine yet, Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told Birinchi Radio. Kyrgyzstan has Sinopharm and Sputnik V vaccines for vaccination of people above 18 years, the Health Minister said.
85-90% of medical workers were vaccinated with Sinopharm vaccine. The advantage of this vaccine is a big amount of antibodies, the Health Minister added.
"Since we received less doses of Sputnik V vaccine, it is administered to people above 65 years and those with chronic diseases. If more doses of the Russian coronavirus vaccines arrive, all may be vaccinated," Health Minister Beishenaliev said.
Minister Beishenaliev said more than 60 countries use Chinese coronavirus vaccine.
"Since our citizens are Russian speaking, they have more information about Sputnik V vaccine," he said.
"I think both vaccines are effective," Minister Beishenaliev added.
