Schools not closed in Kyrgyzstan yet due to nearing summer break

AKIPRESS.COM - "We thought about closure of schools," Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaiev told Birinchi Radio.
"Little time remained until school summer break. School students will soon have vacations," the Health Minister said when asked about surge in coronavirus cases among school students in Kyrgyzstan and whether closure of schools is planned.
Some classes are quarantined at schools.When more than 5 cases are confirmed, the whole school is quarantined, the Health Minister said.
"If we take confirmed cases among school students, we will see several their family members contracted coronavirus. Rules should be observed to avoid transmission of coronavirus especially to grandparents," the Minister said.
