AKIPRESS.COM - Offices of Kumtor company were searched lately, evidences were obtained, said Chairman of National Security Committee Kamchybek Tashiev at an extraordinary session of Parliament.
"We even have material evidences on some lawmakers who received some kind of financial support from Kumtor at that time," he said.
Speaking about the criminal probes on Kumtor, he said that many examinations were conducted. One case concerns the company's executives and 3 cases are related to the officials who held important government positions at the time, which include some former prime ministers and MPs, he said.
Tashiev added that in the interests of the investigation he cannot name those officials who betrayed Kyrgyzstan in the Kumtor case.
"If the resolution is passed today, then from tomorrow we will start summoning people for questioning. As early as tomorrow, we will begin to prosecute them so that they will not be able to travel abroad. We can't openly give their names today in connection with this," he added.
