Russian Foreign Minister arrives in Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Dushanbe to attend the meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Foreign Ministers Council, Asia-Plus reported.
Dushanbe will host the meeting under chairmanship of Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin on May 19.
The event will be attended by CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, Kyrgyzstan Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev, Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Muhtar Tleuberdi, Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, Armenia Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan.
The Foreign Ministers are expected to exchange their views on current international situational and its prospects in view of security risks for CSTO countries, development and strengthening of cooperation between CSTO member states.
"The heads of delegations will approve the decisions that will be then considered at the CSTO Summit in autumn. Several joint statements will be made on relevant aspects of international agenda, cooperation with other countries and international organizations," Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zaharova said earlier.
The Russian and Tajik Foreign Ministers will hold talks.
