3 local men who beat up Pakistani students in mountains released from custody after making peace

AKIPRESS.COM - Alamedinsky district court released 3 persons who beat up students from Pakistan during picnicking in the mountains from custody after the sides reconciled.
3 Kyrgyzstani nationals were detained in Jul 2020 after the incident that sparked wide outrage.
4 students from Pakistan reported to police that locals beat them up on July 19, 2020. The defendants and their families were picnicking in the mountains in the village of Koi-Tash, outside Bishkek.
A verbal conflict arouse between the foreigners and the defendants, as a result of which the latter beat up the students.
Video of the brawl on social media and sparked a public outrage that criticizing locals for beating foreigners.
The defendants pleaded guilty and repented. The victims filed a motion to dismiss the criminal probe into hooliganism because the parties had reconciled. They said the defendants paid compensation to them in full.
As a result, the court granted the petition and released the defendants from liability closing criminal probe against them.
