Kyrgyz Health Minister replaces chief of united family medicine center after loss of almost 1,000 COVID-19 vaccines

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev dismissed Nurlan Galbaev from the post of Chief of the United Family Medicine Center #1 and Chief of the Family Medicine Center #2 Jirgal Kasymalieva after the refrigerator was turned off at the Family Medicine Center #2 and 994 doses of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine were destroyed.
Altynkyz Aralbaeva was appointed in replacement of Nurlan Galbaev. She was introduced to the staff today.
Medical workers opposed replacement of Nurlan Galbaev at a rally in front of the Ministry of Health on May 22.
"We find dismissal of Nurlan Galbaev a wrong decision. For 10 months of his work he proved himself as a good manager. He repaired buildings of medical facilities that were not repaired for around 50 years. He is a professional," the medical workers said.
The United Family Medicine Center includes 6 Family Medicine Centers and a railway hospital.
"It is wrong to dismiss head of the United Family Medicine. It was enough to give rebuke to him and to sack head of the Family Medicine Center #2, where coronavirus vaccines were unfrozen," they said.
Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told AKIpress he does not intend to change his decision.
