Kyrgyzstan expects arrival of 570,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines

AKIPRESS.COM - Arrival of 420,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 150,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine is expected, Mnister of Health and Social Develoment Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said on May 26. The Health Minister reminded China will provide additional 150,000 doses (for vaccination of 75,000 people) free of charge.
"Transportation of the vaccines by the chartered flight was in question. We solved the issue with financing of this flight. Vaccines will arrive soon," the Health Minister said.
Some 420,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive through COVAX program, he said.
"We expect their arrival in the next few days. 421,000 syringes were already delivered. They were disributed throughout the country. Mobile teams visit organizations and agencies for vaccination," the Health Minister said.
