AKIPRESS.COM - More than 5,000 people are vaccinated against coronavirus infection a day for the last severay days in Kyrygyzstan. No complications were registered, Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said on May 26.
"When we started vaccination, people had fears about possible complications. We administered the first dose to almost 70,500 people and 27,900 got the second dose," Minister Beishenaliev stated.
The Health Minister reminded Kyrgyzstan received 150,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine, which was approved by the World Health Organization.
40,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine were received for 20,000 people. Some 14,000 were vaccinated across the country, he said.
"Those who received the first and second doses are tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Their level of antibodies is high. The level of antibodies in case of vaccination with Sinopharm is higher than in case with Sputnik V," the Health Minister said.
