Kyrgyz, Finnish Foreign Ministers discuss situation around Kumtor

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev had an online talk with his Finnish counterpart on May 26, the foreign ministry said. The parties discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in political and economic fields.
They discussed the situation around Kumtor gold mine, protecting environment in development of the deposit.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Pekka Haavisto expressed his regret over the situation with regard to the damage caused to the environment of Kyrgyzstan.
