All 3 checkpoints on border with Tajikistan closed: State Customs Service chief

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has 3 checkpoints on the border with Tajikistan and all of these checkpoints are now closed, said chairman of the State Customs Service Kadyrjan Semeteev in response to MP Shailoobek Atazov's question.
Atazov asked if the situation with smuggling of fuel and lubricants on this section has been resolved.
"Not just cargo or fuel, but even people can't pass through the border now," Semeteev replied.
The MPs are considering the draft law on granting special status for Batken region.
