Kyrgyz Ambassador told representatives of German Foreign Ministry about environmental damage from Kumtor's operations: Foreign Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany Erlan Abdyldaev met with the head of the Abstract "South Caucasus and Central Asia" of the Federal Foreign Office Mrs. Anke Konrad and discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, the foreign ministry said on June 7.
Ambassador Abdyldaev informed in details about the recent conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border and the negative consequences for Kyrgyzstan, as well as the environmental damage caused to the country as a result of the activities of the Kumtor gold mining company.
An exchange of views took place on the implementation of the initiative of the Federal Foreign Office "Green Central Asia", as well as the holding of regular consultations and visits at various levels.
