Bishkek reports 29.9% increase in acute enteric infections

AKIPRESS.COM - The prevalence rate of acute enteric infections in Bishkek has grown by 29.9% for 5 months, the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department said.
799 cases of acture enteric infections were registered for 5 months of this year versus 600 cases last year.
Acute dysentery prevalence rate has grown by 40%.
Rise in enteric ifnections is registered mostly in residential districts on outskirts of Bishkek where access to potable water is limited.
