AKIPRESS.COM - The 84th meeting of the governmental delegations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the joint Uzbek-Kazakh demarcation commission was held in Almaty on June 11, Dunyo news agency reported. The delegations continued preparation of the drafts of final documents on demarcation of the state border and discussion of the draft agreement on demarcation of the Uzbek-Kazakh state border from June 7.
The next meeting will be held in Uzbekistan.
The previous 83rd meeting of the Uzbek-Kazakh demarcation commission was held on May 24-28 in Tashkent.
The length of the border between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan makes more than 2,100 km. The talks on border demarcation started in 2003 and intensified since 2017.
