AKIPRESS.COM - Migrant workers in Moscow may be vaccinated with Sputnik Light vaccine, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"Production of Sputnik Light has strarted. This is the first component of Sputnik V vaccine. We are very likely to obtain permission for vaccination of migrants with Sputnik Light in early July or so," the mayor said.
Sputnik Light is one-component vaccine. This is the first dose of Sputnik V vaccine. It induces cell-mediated and humoral immunity for SARS CoV-2 and forms immune response on the 28th day after vaccination.
Last year the Russian authorities made the decision only citizens of Russia will be vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
Public catering facilities are now required to have at least 60% of workers vaccinated against COVID-19. Migrant workers make around 60% of workers of public catering facilities in Moscow.
