Electric car factory to appear in Andizhan

AKIPRESS.COM - The electric car factory will be built in Andizhan region of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said during visit to the region, Kun.uz reported. "We will study China's experience, will build the electric car factory. The time changes rapidly, industry should be knowledge-based," President Mirziyoyev said.
It was announced in August 2020 construction of the electric car assembly plant started in Kokand free economic zone. This $30 million worth project is carried out together with Chinese Silk Road Company.
The domestically made electric car will cost around $3,000. Production is expected to start since 2021.
