Uzbekistan closes border with Afghanistan due to COVID-19

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan closed the border with Afghanistan due to deterioration of COVID-19 situation in Afghanistan.
Issuance of tourist visas to Afghanistan nationals will be suspended.
The border is allowed to be crossed into Uzbekistan for workers of diplomatic missions, consular agencies, international organizations and their family members, international truck drivers, nationals of Uzbekistan returning home.
All those crossing the border through Termez checkpoint will be tested for coronavirus infection.
Foreign nationals with suspected coronavirus infection will be denied entry into Uzbekistan.
