Kokand to become first Turkic Council's tourism capital

AKIPRESS.COM - The 6th meeting of Tourism Ministers of the Turkic Cooperation Council opened today in Kokand city, Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.
Turkic Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, Uzbekistani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Sport Aziz Abduhakimov, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Kazakhstani Minister of Culture and Sport Aktoty Raimkulova, Kyrgyzstani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finances Akylbek Japarov, Hungarian Tourism Agency Director Marta Fazekas, Azerbaijani Tourism Agency Chairman Fuad Naghiyev are participating in the event.
It was suggested to support the initiative of Uzbekistan to declare Kokand the first tourism capital of Turkic Council member states as the city which holds a special place in development of the Turkic world and nations who made a significant contribution into development of the Silk Road.
