60% of domestic violence cases registered in Bishkek and Chui region

AKIPRESS.COM - 60% of domestic violence cases are registered in Bishkek and Chui region, said expert Nuridin Nurakov at the session of the Parliament Committee on Law and Order. He said that official data do not show the real picture.
The number of domestic violence cases is 5 times less in Osh city, Osh region and Jalal-Abad than in Bishkek and Chui region, he said.
"If you take into account the fact that the southern regions have the same population as Bishkek and Chui region, the real figures should be similar," he said.
