Policeman detained for bribe in Kara-Kul

AKIPRESS.COM - A police officer was detained in Kara-Kul town on suspicion of extorting a bribe, National Security Committee reported on June 25. Y.N.E., a senior interrogator of the Kara-Kul police department, was detained on June 24.
According to the investigation, the policeman extorted 40,000 soms from a local resident in exchange for solution of a misdemeanor case in his favor.
Probe into extortion was launched, the detainee was taken to the temporary detention facility. An investigation is under way.
