All COVID-19 variants criculate in Kyrgyzstan - expert

AKIPRESS.COM - All variants of COVID-19 circulate in Kyrgyzstan, Head of Viral Infections Control Center Dr. Zuridin Nurmatov told a press conference on June 25.
Spike in coronavirus cases is caused by mutations of virus, he said.
"We send samples to special laboratories. All variants of COVID-19 were detected in Kyrgyzstan, including India, UK, South Africa, Brazil variants. The latest resurgence in coronavirus cases is related with these mutations. The rate of transmission of these variants is 50-70% higher than original variant," he said.
