Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Center explains spike in COVID-19 cases with massive testing

AKIPRESS.COM - People are massively PCR tested for coronavirus infection, State Epidemiological and Sanitary Control Center Chief Kuban Kundashev told AKIpress.
Almost 80% of detected cases have mild symptoms, he said.
"If 1,490 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Bishkek by this morning, 1,442 of them are treated from coronavirus infection at home. They remain under medical observation of family medicine centers. Most of them have mild course of infection. We hope COVID wave will decline soon," he said.
Kuban Kundashev urged to respect COVID-19 precationary measures: to wear masks, to keep social distancing, to avoid mass events.
Kyrgyzstan confirmed 1,965 new coronavirus cases by the morning of June 30.
