AKIPRESS.COM - Today marks a month since Orhan Inandi, President of Kyrgyz-Turkish lyceums Sapat, disappeared.
He went missing on the night of June 1, and so far his whereabouts are unknown.
The Sapat announced a reward for information about his whereabouts.
Inandi's disappearance sparked a public outcry. His supporters accuse Turkish authorities of his kidnapping over the Sapat's links with Fethullah Gullen, accused by Ankara of 2016 failed coup attempt.
According to Turkish authorities, Gullen and his supporters were behind the July 15, 2016 coup attempt, but Gullen supporters deny it. Gullen's schools have closed in some countries around the world.
Kyrgyzstan was the only country where Almazbek Atambayev publicly rejected a request to close schools during his presidency.
On June 1, protests outside the Turkish Embassy in Bishkek were held. They believed that Inandi had been kidnapped and held somewhere in Bishkek.
