Parliament of Kyrgyzstan to convene for extraordinary session on July 7

AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan will convene for extraordinary session on July 7.
Several bills will be considered at the session, including the draft of constitutional law on parliamentary elections.
The draft law with amendments to the constitutional law on presidential and parliamentary elections was published on the president's website on June 4 for public discussion.
The given bill suggests introduction of a new electoral system for election of 90 members of the Parliament: 35 MPs will be elected from single mandate constituencies on majority system, 55 will be elected on majority system from single electoral district (party lists).
