Uzbekistan preparing for heatwave

AKIPRESS.COM - The air temperature in Uzbekistan is forecast to rise to 46°C from July 6-8, no precepitations are expected in those days across the country.
The government has been tasked to adopt immediate measures to protect health of citizens and prevent possible emergencies in connection with heatwave.
Temporary first aid points will be set up in crowded places, at markets, recreation and amusement facilities.
People are urged to stay indoors.
Power companies are tasked to ensure uninterrupted supplies of electricity and gas.
Workers in agricultural sector are recommended to refrain from work in daytime.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations will step up security measures at rivers, lakes.
