AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek residents do not safe water, they water their gardens with clean drinking water, car washes use drinking water, said deputy mayor Jamalbek Yrsaliev. "If no rain falls, there will be no water even if the mayor and I go outside and cry," he said.
"Water is a gift from nature. Bishkekvodokanal has 300 wells, Bishkekzelenekhoz has 17 wells. We have gone down 17 meters deep, because of the drought, the water is lower," he said.
Yrsaliyev urged citizens to use water more efficiently.
