AKIPRESS.COM - Delivery of 1.250 million doses of Sinopharcm vaccine from China is expected at the end of this week, Cabinet Vice Chair Jyldyz Bakashova told a press briefing on July 7.
1.1 million doses were purchased by the government and 150,000 doses were donated by China, she said.
"Purchase of 1.250 million doses of vaccines is considered now. These doses will be delivered at the end of July," Bakashova said.
The country population makes 6,570,361 now.
"According to the national vaccination plan, we need to vaccinate 70% of population or 2,187,417 people. Priority groups for vaccination include 1,312,450 people," she added.
The priority group 1 includes medical workers, teachers, police officers, border guards, customs officers and others. The priority group 2 includes citizens with high risks of development of severe forms of diseases, elderly people older 60 years. The priority group 3 includes vulnerable groups of population.
